Microsoft has said that it will be unveiling a new IP at E3, predictable considering that they have delayed Quantum Break to 2016 due to potentially crowding the Christmas times of 2015 with Microsoft IPs. Phil Spencer, head of Microsoft Studios and the Xbox Division, said:
"We should have a new exclusive IP at E3. I'm trying to make this E3 more about 1st party than past E3s."
- Phil Spencer, Microsoft
Phil followed that comment up with:
"Means this years E3 might feel different from past E3s but I like focusing on our games."
- Phil Spencer, Microsoft
And finally:
"This is going to be a fun year. I think it might be our best 1st party content year ever."
- Phil Spencer, Microsoft
This doesn't mean that there won't be any 3rd party announcements at E3, it just means that they will have a focus on 1st party announcements. Phil Spencer reassures us that there will be some 3rd party deals at E3.
