Halo 5 - Release Date Announced

 

 



The Halo 5: Guardians release date has been announced, October 27th. The release date was announced via two new trailers for the game that depicted a scenario between the Master Chief and Agent Locke. In one trailer, Locke discovers the Master Chief dying beneath a statue of his likeness, giving a final speech that he (Master Chief) is a traitor. Agent Locke readies his pistol to finish off the Master Chief. Whilst, in the other trailer, the Master Chief finds Agent Locke giving the same speech, beneath the same statue. Both videos end with the hashtag:

"#HuntTheTRUTH"

Now, a lot of the marketing for Halo 5: Guardians seems to point towards the Master Chief being a traitor. In a trailer depicting the Master Chief's helmet getting smashed, you can see a bullet with the word "TRAITOR" etched onto it.

We'll just have to wait and see what happens when the game is released on October 27th, provided it does not get delayed further. Seems like the story for the 5th Halo instalment is going to have some major plot twists, and some interesting story points.
