Recent rumors about a live-action Zelda series on Netflix have been put to rest by Satoru Iwata, after a wall street journal report gave everyone hope that there may be a live-action Zelda series on it's way.
In response to the hype, Iwata said:
"As of now, I have nothing new to share with you in regard to the use of our IPs for any TV shows or films, but I can at least confirm that the article in question is not based on correct information."

It's saddening that there is no confirmed live-action Zelda series coming, however, Iwata has worded his comment carefully; so we may be getting something but just not in the form of what the wall street journal report mentioned.
